Endorsing the animal rights group People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), Sawant says her message is simple: “I will do my best to make sure that animals are saved in this country. We should all give our best, including the government, to make sure that these animals aren’t taken to circus.â€
Rakhi’s endorsement of PETA is in line with the organisation’s policy of celebrity endorsements, but for the publicity hound Rakhi, the PETA endorsement even gives her access to a label she has previously never sought — that of a concerned citizen.
Maybe the item girl’s love for animals is genuine, but with Rakhi one cannot be sure – from wanting to distribute computer to jail inmates to PETA, she sure is a woman of many parts!
