Karan Johar’s Sunday night tele-talk show is becoming a vehicle for showcasing the ugly underbelly of showbiz in India.
Right after Jaya Bachchan used the platform to show her disdain for Viveik Oberoi – because he is the ex-boyfriend of Aishwarya Rai – Karan says that on his next episode featuring the famous kiss-and-shock item girl Rakhi Sawant, no one from the A or B list from Bollywood is willing to share screen space with her.
He has been forced to invite colleagues from her show Big Brother to make the show interesting.
On another note, kisses delivered in public spaces are making ugly headlines. If Rakhi Sawant’s uninvited kiss from singer Mika shocked TV watchers, now Richard Gere’s energetic pecks on Shilpa Shetty’s cheeks coupled with his passionate embrace are making the whole of India shake with outrage and/or amusement.
