Looking rather prim and proper (read: no cleavage show) was Rakhi Sawant with her bespectacled look at the JW Marriott on Tuesday night.

She was looking through her glasses at the passionate performance of the dancing couple — Shannon Benjamin and Dr Priti Gupta — as they showed off their moves and grooves of the samba, rumba, cha cha cha and jive.

It was their last dance before flying off to Macau for the Indoor Asian Games where they would compete with other dancing couples from 45 countries. The duo wowed the crowd with their deft movements comprising bold body language and expressive eyes.

Looking pleased as punch was their choreographer Sandip Soparrkar who did not dance but let his students shine in the spotlight. And shine they did dressed in Neeta Lulla’s sexy creations. The designer wasn’t there but her daughter Nishka Lulla was present to share the stage with the couple.

Also taking centre stage was Bollywood babe Ameesha Patel, Sandip’s latest dance student.

She didn’t dance she but wished the couple all the best. Aman Verma, however, took to the stage with Priti and proved that nobody has two left feet! Even Rakhi Sawant and boyfriend Abhishek Awasthi swung around on the dance floor… no, she didn’t do an item number, rather, she did the sexy Latino twist!
