Mumbai, Feb 14: A day when love is in the air, it turned out to be an anticlimax for Abhishek Awasthi, the boyfriend of Bollywood item girl Rakhi Sawant, who was slapped in full media glare early this afternoon.

Apparently, Abhishek had gone to reconcile with his ladylove Rakhi after the couple’s reported split. If rumours are to be believed, Rakhi had called off their long-term relationship, citing Abhishek’s possessive nature as the reason behind her reaction. Rakhi also added that her beau didn’t approve of her donning short dresses and mixing around with other men.

Abhishek had invited the media persons to accompany him to Rakhi’s residence as he was going to reconcile with her. He had also taken a bouquet and life size teddy bear to win back his lady love on Valentine’s Day. But all his efforts went in vain when Rakhi slapped him a number of times. But Abhishek refused to let go off her and kept on pleading with her.

He went on his knees and docilely bore her whacks. Eventually, Rakhi gave in after asking Abhishek to apologize in Marathi and swear on his mother not to repeat his actions.

The media had a glimpse of the melodramatic side of Rakhi, the ‘Drama Queen’ yet again. Hope these lovebirds stay together till the next Valentine’s Day!
