“I wear such clothes because I can carry them off without looking cheap,” says the lady confidently. Sherlyn finds nothing wrong in being labelled the object of desire for so many men, who watch her albums.

“Can I do anything about it?” she asks. These days the actress is focusing on her album “Dard-e-Sherlyn”.

“I know people will compare this one with Shah Rukh’s Dard-e-disco. He showed his six abs but I’ll be showing off my twin assets. There is a beautiful bikini sequence in the album,” she says.

All these sharp comments about her sexuality are a sure shot formula to fame, and Sherlyn knows that very well. “People think that whatever I do or say is for publicity but that’s not right. I can’t be a hypocrite and behave like a saati savatri, which I’m not. I’m what I’m. I speak from the heart and believe in every word I say.

The other day , I was roaming around at home in my undergarments when my mom said, ‘You don’t have to expose in front of me.’ I told her that I’ve come from her body and that she should not have problems in seeing me like that.” Her favourite piece of garment is of course a bikini. “I will not wear a sari even if someone puts a pistol to my head.”

About those constant comparisons with item girl Rakhi Sawant, Sherlyn says, “I don’t understand why people do that. You’ll find all kinds of cars if you go to any automobile showroom. I think Rakhi is a fabulous Nano but I’m a Mercedes.

Those who compare us should realise that we don’t just have different body shapes, but different approaches towards our work. I try to get the international look in all my albums, unlike her. People are comparing me with her today, then they’ll compare me with Mallika Sherawat. I’m waiting for the day when they’ll compare me with Angelina Jolie.”

Hmmm… She adds, “I respect Rakhi as a human being. She has worked hard for whatever she has achieved. But if you ask me, if there’s any comparison between the two of us, my answer is a big ‘No’.” You can’t compare mediocre with excellence.” Wait, she has something to say about her almost non-existent career in films as well.

“I know I’ve made some big mistakes in the beginning of my career by choosing all the wrong films. Believe me, I’m happy that I did those films.” Happy? “Of course. At least, I won’t repeat the same mistakes.” Sherlyn says that she wants to do only big budget films and has already got two good offers.

“I ask a zillion questions before I sign any new project. I say yes only to big projects because this way I’m assured that the film will get a good release. These filmmakers know the game and it’s easier to trust them.” Well, someone’s learning the tricks of the trade fast, we must say.
