Mumbai, June 16: Rakhi Sawant finally bags Yeh Hai Jalwa, winning Rs 2.5 million as award money for her and her team’s reverberating performance on the TV show. Rakhi who has been part of many TV reality shows including the Big Boss and Nach Baliye has never won a TV award, except the one that she won today.

Today she makes up those opportunities when she lost those several awards, a few, by a whisker.

In Nach Baliye, Rakhi had reached the final and she was visibly and emotionally very disappointed when she lost the final. She even went to the extent of accusing the TV channel that she was discriminated against and her opponents were given the award on a platter.

But today Rakhi was very happy. After winning the crown today she said “I cannot believe that I have won! I have no words to express myself. All my hard work has finally paid off. God has been kind to me.”

The finale of Yeh Hai Jalwa’ was a great entertainer. All the contestants’ performances were superb, to say the least, but the one that stole the show also won the finale and that was Rakhi Sawant along with her troupe.

Earlier on the last day of the final, Rakhi Sawant had admitted that she was very tense. She said, “I have reached here because of my hard work and public voting. Earlier, I was going to contest the final with Ronit but now they introduced a wild card entry round so I am stuck in between the two most popular men on TV – Ronit and Hussain. Public voting is my only support so I have asked everyone including the channel to appeal to the public to vote for me”.
