Rakhi Sawant got all the success she aspired for, after winning Yeh Hai Jalwa and now the Chat Queen has graduated to the Judges’ seat with Zee’s new show, Ek Se Badhkar Ek… Chota Packet Bada Dhamaka.
“It is a great responsibility to judge a children show as one has to be very sensitive while marking them. The recent incident in Orissa where rude remarks by the judges’ left a girl paralyzed is a moot reminder of the need to be carefulâ€, states Rakhi.
Having seen the other side of the coin too as a contestant in reality shows, how will Rakhi now react when children cry foul? “As their didi, I will stand up for themâ€, quips she. The ‘Drama Queen’ has indeed got smarter and mature with all the past experiences and does not want to talk about other shows. “Who are we to comment? Some shows are genuine, while few are not. Our job is to judge and go homeâ€, avers the ‘new’ Rakhi.
So does this mean you will not take part in reality shows? “No, I love to dance and if I stop, my body will rustâ€, she jokes with a grin. She adds on, “I love this format and will continue to be part of it either as a contestant or as a judgeâ€.
Rakhi is overwhelmed that boy friend Abhishek Awasthi got due recognition in Ek Se Badhkar Ek and was adjudged the ‘Best Dancerâ€. “I am happy for him even though he did not win the crownâ€, quips the new judge.
Last but not the least, Rakhi was all praise for the channel as she concludes saying, “Zee has always been good to me and I am happy to be working with themâ€.
