Shenaz Treasurywala — yes, the same girl who’s making her big Bollywood comeback with Imran Khan in Delhi Belly, has some other interesting roles coming up.
For Aage Se Right with Kay Kay Menon and Shreyas Talpade, she’s doing what she never imagined she would do — an item number! “I was a little apprehensive about this dance. After all, I’ve always said no to item songs. I couldn’t sleep for days before the big night finally arrived! I was feverish with excitement. And then finally, when it came, it just went by so fast,” she says. But the actress surprised herself. “I never imagined that I’d be in such high spirits doing those jhatkas and matkas, shaking the hips and pouting; it was fun. I had the time of my life and am now addicted to it and ready to do more,” she says. And after doing this number, the actress says she has a new-found respect for item girls. “I’m sorry item girls, now I know what it takes; it’s hard work. I respect all you lovely ladies. By the way, Rakhi Sawant is my fave item girl. Besides being a fantastic dancer, that girl is spunky. Hmmm… guess Shenaz is fast learning the tricks of Bollywood. Never say never, right girl?
