Rakhi Sawant, the Controversy Queen is gearing up for her Swayamvar on National Television with NDTV Imagine’s show Rakhi Ka Swayamar. The item girl is happy and elated as she has received 15,000 proposals till now, and feels that it will be a big challenge for her to choose just 15 out of the whole lot.

Says Rakhi, “I got to know that I have received 15,000 proposals till now, and am really feeling good about it. I am very excited and am looking forward for the show to start”.

From businessmen to models and from NRI’s to doctors and engineers, these prospective grooms come from all walks of life. The calls, SMS’s and emails are still flowing from cities like Nagpur, Indore, Patna, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Ahmedabad. Most entries are in the broad age group of 18 to over 35.

“I am really surprised and also confused as to how to select 15 from them. Let’s see what is in store for me”, she adds further.

If the buzz is to be believed, Rakhi might not end up marrying at the end. Reacting to this, Rakhi states, “If you want to write this or believe it, I don’t mind. Having said this, you may never know though I am very positive about it. After all, whatever is destined to happen will happen”.

Rakhi has also put a special caller tune for the upcoming marriage season, in ‘Tera Yahan Koi Nahi’ from the Rishi Kapoor and Padmini Kolhapure starrer Prem Rog. “I do not know whether I will shift after marriage. But as of now, I want to enjoy the rituals of marriage”, concludes the item girl.
