Sonakshi’s rise to stardom has not been exactly a smooth one. Despite Dabangg’s stupendous success, the actress had to bear a lot of flak about her weight and fashion sense.
And since then, Sona has been on the receiving end of severe criticism from the fashion police. However, this time the nastiness of the industry seems to have irked the actress a little too much. And of all people, the culprit this time, seems to be item girl Rakhi Sawant.
Recently, Rakhi, while addressing the media at the launch of her upcoming television show, made several snide comments about Sonakshi. An eyewitness says, “During the media interaction, all of a sudden, without any reference point whatsoever, she started talking about Sonakshi — about how she should lose weight and follow a fitness routine to acquire a perfect figure. It was quite obvious that she was trying to get her five minutes of fame by talking about Sonakshi, who is hot property right now.”
Understandably, Rakhi’s comments haven’t gone down well with Sonakshi. Earlier, too in an interview with The Deccan Chronicle, she had spoken about the brickbats she has got for her weight. “Being a star kid, one always has to endure the angst and the bitterness of the industry. My parents have inculcated the right values and scruples in me. That’s why I prefer not to react to such malicious comments.”
And considering how Rakhi is no Bipasha Basu or Lara Dutta to give out such tips, Sona’s anger is furthermore justified while Rakhi only underlines her desperation to get noticed.
