So what if Rakhi Sawant failed to win Bigg Boss? She has been getting what she always has: truckloads of publicity and hazaar benefits as well. “After Bigg Boss, i am receiving offers for lead roles that i had never imagined. This show has made me a heroine,” says Rakhi, whose mind is known to be an open book that everyone can read.

Does that mean she will try to shed her ‘item girl’ image? “Doing lead roles is like a dream come true. But i would never leave doing item numbers as i don’t forget my roots. And i take pride in being an item girl.” Now, that is the Rakhi you know, isn’t it?

Not just professionally but also in her personal life, the reality show has coloured her life in splendid hues. “in Bigg Boss’s House, i realised that i love Abhishek,” says Rakhi. You must be thinking that this bindaas girl would be a real bindaas girlfriend, but reality is different. “Abhishek is my first boyfriend, and i feel shy when i am with him. We had gone to a restaurant for dinner and, believe me, i had no clue what to do when on a date,” laughs Rakhi.

When asked about Mika’s new album on her, she refuses to comment. But her boyfriend Abhishek takes over, “People create controversies out of incidents and accidents, but she will always have me standing strongly by her.” Abhishek also doesn’t take kindly to any remarks against his girlfriend. “i am possessive about her. And if anybody tries to harass her, i am definitely going to give it back to him,” says he.

Rakhi also wants to participate in the Big Brother contest. “i would love to be a part of Big Brother one day.” Does that mean she will do a Western item number in a crossover film some day? We don’t ask her that, but she very well might.
