‘Mika Tune Pappi Kyun Li?’

“The concept of this album ‘Mika Tune…’ was mine. i was fed up of answering people as to what happened at the birthday party where i kissed Rakhi (Sawant). That is the reason why i cut this album. Seven lakh copies of the album have already been sold.”

“When i apologised to Rakhi on the show ‘Jeena isi Ka Naam Hai’ (Zee) she said she would agree only if i didn’t release this album. But, i had already spent three months and Rs 20 lakh on the album. So i could not stop its release. The album is cute, not vulgar.”

Rakhi and me

“i don’t think that the controversy has made me more popular. i’m doing the same number of shows as i did in the last eight years. i already had hit songs to my credit including ‘Something Something’ and ‘Kitne Armaan’. in fact, the controversy has helped Rakhi. She got ‘Bigg Boss’ and other work after that. i was also asked to be a part of ‘Bigg Boss’. i was offered Rs 30 lakh for it. But i was busy. However ‘Bigg Boss’ was a success because of Rakhi. She is a good entertainer. i have no qualms about working with Rakhi, but would never want to be friends with her. i will not be able to trust her.”

Hello brother!

“Despite having a brother in the industry (singer Daler Mehendi), i had to work hard. The show ‘Fame X’ was the first time that we were seen together. We will be bringing out an album by October this year.”

Work-wise

“i have sung two songs for ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’. The director wanted a bad boy to sing the song, that’s why he approached me. i will also be singing for the movie ‘Woodstock Villa’ directed by Hansal Mehta.”
