Agreed, chivalry doesn’t really have much of a place, given the present-day work environment (even the feminists frown upon it). Sexual harassment, activists have been crying, exists in BPOs, in schools and colleges, in Bollywood, in the corporate sector, in the uniformed forces, and just about everywhere, in one form or another. Punjabi pop singer, Mika Singh, has become an overnight smooching star after he forcibly smooched item gal Rakhi Sawant in his birthday party, which followed huge controversy.

Now Mika feels sorry for actor Emraan Hashmi, who is about to lose his serial kisser tag to Mika. “I feel sorry for Emraan, poor chap it took him four years to build his image of a kissing star, while it took me just five minutes!”

The five-minute kissing drama has actually made him one sought after kisser.
“Now wherever I go, girls come up to me and beg me for a kiss,” Mika says. “The other days I was at a party in Delhi and four gals came over and kissed me almost ‘forcibly’. Since they were all beautiful and very sexy, I didn’t mind it,” says Mika.

In Rakhi Sawant’s case you could perhaps tweak the old adage a little bit and start calling it the ’storm before the lull’.

Now that the shenanigans are over, guess who we caught partying together at Rain in Juhu on Saturday evening? Mika and the guys he bashed up following the Case of the Notorious Kiss.

DJ Shezwood who claimed to be beaten up by Mika and his bodyguards, when he chivalrously went to defend Sawant’s honour after The Kiss, seems to have already buried the hatchet.

But at the same time, the DJ’s found a loyal friend and admirer in the item girl. Sawant, who launched her new album at Rock Bottom on Monday evening, was heard praising Shezwood and giving him credit for the album. He was also the DJ at the party.

Bollywood item girl Rakhi Sawant has pleaded guilty in a case of alleged obscenity in the pre-trial stage. Rakhi has also offered to pay the maximum fine of Rs 1200 prescribed under the law but the court decided to give its ruling on July 28.

Rakhi on Thursday did not appear in response to summons by a Kolhapur court but her lawyer Jaideep Thakkar filed an application pleading guilty on her behalf and said she was ready to pay fine prescribed under the provisions of Bombay Police Act.

Prosecutor objected to Rakhi’s plea saying she has to remain personally present to plead guilty and argued that her lawyer could not plead on her behalf. Rakhi’s lawyer argued that under section 51 of Bombay Police Act an accused can plead guilty through his or her advocate and send the fine amount through money order.

The court would give its ruling on July 28 whether Rakhi’s plea for accepting guilt should be accepted without insisting on her presence.
