IMAGINE the Bryan Adams hit Summer of 69 played on the guitar in merely 16 seconds. Twenty two-year-old Apernit Singh, who claims to be India’s fastest guitarist, can pull off 22 notes in 0.76 seconds and play nonstop for 72 hours.

Singh, who’s been strumming since age seven, has just released his first album, Apernit-India’s Fastest Guitarist. ‘’When I was young, I won a number of inter-collegiate competitions. That’s when I set about testing my own speed,'’ says the Bangalore-based musician, asserting that co-artists like Mika Singh can vouch for his talent.
