Since the time Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s name was suggested for the Bharat Ratna, the events took a bizarre turn, and all types of names began to be bandied around including that of M F Husain. I feel they should consider the name of Mr Amar Singh, for then Mulayam Singh and Amitabh Bachchan would automatically become the co-recipients of the award. And I feel even Rakhi Sawant deserves it for providing such wholesome entertainment to the nation.

Rakhi Sawant and controversies go hand in hand. With Rakhi present in a show, controversies are sure to follow. Be it singer Mika’s birthday party, reality show Bigg Boss or Nach Baliye Rakhi Sawant has often been in the eye of the storm. The item queen recently even announced her desire to work in K-serials and essay the role of a sati-savitri bahu. Until that happens she is now preparing to put the spotlight on others. She would host a talk show on Zee. The lady who is known for her candidness is now going to get her guests to be candid.

Reportedly, her upcoming talk show would focus on sensitive issues like extra- marital affairs. News also has it that Rakhi’s omnipresent boyfriend, Abhishek, would not be part of the show. The buzz is that Rakhi would also invite celebrities like Soni Razdan, Karan Johar to be part of the show.

According to sources, The show named ‘Arrested by Rakhi’ would be aired thrice a week. Rakhi has shot for the same show four months earlier also but apparently the channel didn’t like the footage. New Year Bashes had some of bollywood’s hottest femme fatales gyrating and entertaining the crowds. Bollywood gals Koena Mitra and Tanushree Dutta gyrated to many of their hit numbers and charmed the crowds.

Tanushree had donned a golden top with a heavy embroidered ghagra and she looked gorgeous and svelte.

Koena Mitra too received applauses from the crowds; she had a more casual hip-hop styled attire. Singer Mika too sang many hit songs which made the crowds break out into a frenzy while Yukta Mookhey compered the night. Sawant not invited for Nach Baliye success party

Looks like Star is in no mood to forgive and forget Rakhi Sawant. The channel threw a celebration party for the success of Nach Baliye 3 last night. However, the invitations went to all the couples except Rakhi-Abhishek.

Reacting to not being invited Rakhi says, “I didn’t even know there was such a party. I am getting to know this from you! We haven’t got any phone calls or invitations from Star.”

However, JW Marriott is allegedly going through a crisis as the tickets for Bipasha’s big night at the Lotus Café in JW, are yet to be sold out! The hotel was also in for a painful surprise when they found out that the tickets for ‘item girl’ Rakhi Sawant’s performance at Tulip Star have almost sold out and that the demand for those tickets are much more even when they are more expensive! When Rakhi Sawant took to the stage fully clothed, one wondered whether she would be able to pull the crowd? The answer was unanimous — not really. People were upset to say the least.

“No fair. She came fully-clothed on stage. She should have come in the same clothes as the poster,” said a disappointed member of the audience.
